To get the next tranche of credit from its main creditor – the IMF, Ukraine should solve the issue of adopting a law which provides the demonopolization of the alcohol industry. This information was published by the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Taras Kutovyi on his Facebook profile.
The adoption of such a law appears a trigger for the Fund to transfer additional credit facilities to Ukraine, – said the Minister.
Also Taras Kutovyi noted that the above-mentioned bill at the moment has already passed a government committee, and received the support of the Cabinet of Ministers together with the Committee on Economic Policy of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Earlier the head of Ministry of Agrarian Policy explained that with the adoption of this law it will be easier to improve all procedures and eradicate corruption in this industry of Ukraine.
UNIAN reported that on 16 November last year at a meeting of the Cabinet Kutovyi noted that the bill proposes to combine alcohol production in the two groups and to privatize all the assets of the industry. The first group will represent the enterprises, which are the most interesting in the context of vodka companies, and the second – fabricators of bioethanol and industrial alcohol.
